Very basic anatomy.  Spinnerets are leglike projections at the rear tip of the abdomen.  These structures are used to spin web filaments.  Chelicerae are the two large structures at the front of the carapace.  The fangs that the spider uses to inject venom are attached to the tips of the chelicerae.  The carapace is the shield on the top of the anterior body section.  At the anterior end of the carapace are the eyes.  Most spiders have 8 eyes, some have either 6 or 2 eyes. The arrangement or layout of the eyes can be helpful in spider identification.
